Hawai‘i's Unaffrodable Child Care Costs Top Among the Nation

According to Chld Care Aware® of America's annual report, Parents and the High Cost of Child Care: 2017 report, Hawai‘i was among states like Massachusetts, Oregon, Utah, Minnesota, New York and Washington as the most unaffordable in the nation.
Chld Care Aware® of America's reported "the average cost of center-based infant care is more than 27 percent of median income for single parents," and "couples across the country pay more than 10% of their household income, for a year of child care for one child... nearly 9,000 a year..."
